Anniversaries of Death

Nearly there! From next Saturday we will be allowed once again to open our churches for public worship, which means you will be able to attend Mass again if you are able to. We are still awaiting the guidelines regarding what precautions need to be taken and we are pretty sure at this time congregational singing will not be allowed. We are also not sure at this time what numbers will be allowed in church, but under the present spacing we should be able to get everybody in!Mass will continue to be said at 10.00am daily in St Peter’s and St Peter’s will continue to be open for prayer till 12.00 noon and from 2.30pm -5.30pm,volunteers are needed to help steward visitors. It is also hoped that we can restart Mass at St Thomas although the time may have to change subject to clergy availability. Obviously there are a lot of our people who will not be able to return to church at this time, for these people we will continue to stream Mass at 10.00am most days and we are looking at ways in which the sacrament could be distributed safely when the time comes.

Shirley Ley RIPfollowing a long period of illness sadly Shirley’s earthly pilgrimage ended last Monday. Whilst it is not possible to have the funeral at St Thomas’ Her funeral will aptly take place on St Thomas’ day. Prayer and condolences are offered to her husband Peter and Son Peter Francis.
