The Mission Community

We welcome all visitors to our church, on a Sunday there are people sat at the back of church who will help you with any aspect of the church before or during the service. The clergy would love to have the opportunity to speak to you after the service.

 

Tea, coffee or soft drinks are available after Mass, there is no charge for these refreshments but any donations are always welcome

 

NOTE: Safeguarding: If you have any concerns regarding the safety of children and others who are vulnerable, regardless of age, you must tell the Duty Priest and/or the Lay Safeguarding Officer.    Concerns must always be reported to the Parish Priest

Next Coffee Morning at St Peter’s will be held on Tuesday 18th April.

 

Lent Notices –

Stations of the Cross - From Thursday there will be the opportunity to pray the Stations of the Cross whilst sitting down at St James Church 10.00am followed by Mass and then Tea & Coffee. If you would like transport to St James, please let Fr David know.  Stations at St Peter’s on a Friday continue as usual.

 

Lent Course - This Tuesday at 7.00pm in the Vicarage.

Lent Lunches – Please continue to support Lent Lunches. It would be good to see as many as possible. Proceeds for the Lent Lunches will be donated to Shekinah Mission, if you would like to make a separate donation regardless of attending the Lent Lunch, please see Fr David or one of the Churchwardens. 

 

Chrism Mass - 11th April 1.30pm - Please make every effort to attend, transport is available. We have to give numbers attending to Bishop Jonathan Office by the end of the month.

 

Lent Children’s Activities – These will start now on Sunday 2nd April

 

Quiz Night – Friday 24th March – St Peter’s. 7pm for a 7.30pm start. Pasty & Cider Supper.

 

Picture Raffle at St Peter’s – Squares are still available to buy. Please support this worthwhile cause to raise Church Funds.The draw will take place on Easter Sunday.
