Recently Departed,

Anniversaries of Death

We are open! It has been a great blessing to have St Peter’s open again this week and to have seen a number of you through the week, but even more important, has been our being here for people looking for solace and help. We always knew there was a need and this week has proved it. We look forward now to the next stage when public worship will be allowed and we can once again gather round the Altar and Our Lord. At the moment there is a small number of people helping to keep the church open, it would be great if others we able to help. Our Christian life is not measured solely by how much time we spend in church but also by the love we show to our neighbours, I am pleased with what we have been able to achieve so far but I think the demands are going to increase so we are exploring and planning for what happens next! You will see that our gratefully received food parcels and craft packs are increasing following demand and we will need extra help to keep up with this demand. The packs are put together on a Sunday evening and a Monday morning, so speak to Ben if you are able to help. We continue to stream services and are hoping to increase the accessibility of these live streams soon, so we continue to do so after lockdown! Finally a short word about finance, the majority of expenditure is still being paid out whilst our fundraising activities are not, the churchwardens and Fr David are extremely grateful to everybody who have continued to give money throughout this crisis and also those who have responded to appeals so far.

Walsingham Pilgrimage September 7-11 2020 Following correspondence with Walsingham, we are continuing to plan for the Pilgrimage in September, Could you please let us know if you are still planning on going or if you would now like to join us on pilgrimage.

Bags of Help! We will be making weekly food parcels and craft bags for 15 family’s that attend St Peters Primary school who are in great need. Could you help provide non-perishable food or a donation towards this. Please contact Ben if you can help.
