Churches have been asked to mark the day with a day of reflection and prayer, especially for those who have died or whose lives have been severely affected. It is hoped that we can keep St Peter’s open from 8.30am- 5.30pm, if you can help please sign the rota in the appropriate place.

Lent arrangements-

Friday Mass will be proceeded by Stations of the Cross.

Saturdays during Lent we will have a Holy Hour at 11.00am

Pre recorded Stations of the Cross are on our Facebook page and available by this link https://youtu.be/7VR8XZjkrxo

We will also be having a Mission Community collection throughout Lent for Derriford Hospital, in lieu of Lent Boxes, please think of some ways in which you could contribute.

Holy Week & Easter – Things will be a little different this year but at least most of you will be able to be in church! Holy Monday to Holy Wednesday, There will be a Mass and Homily each day at St Peter’s at 7.30pm. At 10.00am each day there will be short Liturgy of the Word and Homily at St Thomas’ which will be streamed. Maundy Thursday the Mass will be at 7.30pm without the Washing of Feet, no Altar of Repose and a shortened watch. Good Friday liturgies will take place at the usual time, Stations of the Cross at 11.00am and the liturgy of the day at 3.00 pm. The Eater Vigil will take place on Saturday at 8.00pm. Mass times for Easter Day are still to be arranged.

During Holy Week it is hoped we can give St Peter’s a good clean in preparation the great festival, it will be easier if people take on areas of responsibility such as 1. The dais and sedilia 2. The Nave 3. The silver 4. The Glass etc a sign up sheet can be found in Cloisters
